On September 15, WomanUp Slovakia organized a first-of-its-kind networking event for women entrepreneurs and women interested in business with the support of CIPE’s Center for Women’s Economic Empowerment. The event was attended by 55 women. The event started with a speech from the founder of WomanUp, Natália Pavlovská, followed by CIPE Program Officer Monika Kočiová.
After the initial speeches, attendees participated in eight rounds of speed networking where they shared their entrepreneurial journeys with fellow women entrepreneurs. After the speed networking, participants heard from a panel on the topic of building a strong business, which included:
- Natália Pavlovská (founder of WomanUp);
- Romana Klimeková (founder of RK Selection and Pes v núdzi);
- Mariana Huttová and Adriana Pristaš (founders of organic beauty brand Fraela);
- Petra Tóth (founder of Petra Toth Jewellery).
After the panel discussion, the speakers answered questions and provided valuable advice on ways to improve a business. The guiding mission of the WomanUp team is to further develop the women’s entrepreneurial community in Slovakia and facilitate connection through additional offline Networking Nights and online community.
