The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is a global organization that works to strengthen democracy and build competitive markets in many of the world’s most challenging environments. Working alongside local partners and tomorrow’s leaders, CIPE advances the voice of business in policy making, promotes opportunity, and develops resilient and inclusive economies.
One of the key issues facing democracies today is the issue of economic inclusion, including the issue of women’s economic empowerment. CIPE supports business associations, chambers of commerce, and civil society groups seeking to advance gender equality to build more inclusive, thriving economies and democracies that deliver for all citizens. Within the wider Europe region, CIPE supports women’s economic empowerment through four programmatic priorities:
- Promoting women in leadership
- Supporting women in tech
- Combating (online) gender-based violence
- Fostering women peace and security
