CIPE conducts specialized capacity assessments of business associations and chambers of commerce through a methodology that utilizes various tools including market research, guided self-assessments, interviews with board leadership and staff, focus groups with members and potential members, stakeholder surveys, and a review of key governing documents. CIPE measures over 160 indicators of organizational capacity across seven domains of excellence. Assessment findings provide a way for CIPE to focus its technical interventions and measure progress over time.
