Solomie Mekuria is a Grants and Finance Manager for Africa Region at the Center for International Private Enterprise East Africa Regional Office in Ethiopia.
Solomie has been working at CIPE on providing overall technical assistance on grant and contracts management-related issues, which includes donor reporting, partners monitoring, quality control, and ensuring the projects are in compliance with CIPE’s and donors’ policies and procedures. Prior to her work at CIPE, Solomie worked as a Senior Grant & Budget Manager at International Rescue Committee and as a Grants Finance and Compliance Coordinator for Plan International. In addition, Solomie served as Project Grant Administrator at PATH and in different capacities of finance unit for both MEDA and World Vision Ethiopia.
She holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid from KALU Humanitarian Aid Study Center, an MA in Accounting and Finance from Adama University, and a BA in Accounting from Haramaya University.
