Seif El Khawanky is a Program Officer for the Center for International Private Enterprise’s Egypt office. He works on a portfolio of programs aimed at building institutions to support effective and sustainable market reforms. He has worked intensively on an anti-corruption program dealing with institutional barriers in Egypt, including inefficient bureaucracy, excessive centralization, and access to information. His work currently focuses on engaging the private sector in a constructive dialogue with policymakers by bringing together primary and secondary stakeholders to agree on policy priorities. Prior to joining CIPE, El Khawanky started his professional career in Egyptian government working for the Ministry of Administrative Reform. El Khawanky obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences at the American University in Cairo.
