Natalia Otel Belan is the Deputy Director for Europe, Eurasia, and South Asia, at the Center for International Private Enterprise. Where she manages, along with the Regional Director, a team of program staff and oversees a portfolio of programs in these regions. With over 15 years of experience, Otel Belan has led design, implementation, and evaluation of programs focused on strengthening the capacity of business associations, chambers of commerce, think tanks and other reform-focused organizations. Her expertise includes improving the business environment, corporate governance, business advocacy, anti-corruption and ethics, association management, and coalition building in the private sector.
Prior to working at CIPE, Otel Belan worked on rural economic development at the World Bank. She holds an MA in International Development with a specialization in Microfinance and Microenterprise Development from American University in Washington DC, and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute of Organization Management. Otel Belan is a native speaker of Romanian and is fluent in English and Russian.
