Ben Kiragu is the Country Representative for CIPE in Kenya, a position he has held since 2011. In this role, Ben provides strategic oversight of programs, as well as in-country strategy development. Kiragu’s experience and passion in governance, advocacy and entrepreneurship have made him an important resource for many in Kenya’s leading Business Member Organizations where he offers technical assistance & capacity building in program implementation, association management, governance, communication, and advocacy.
Prior to joining CIPE, Kiragu was the Head of Programs & Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Gatsby Trust, Deputy Chief of Party in-charge of business development at the USAID funded – Kenya Horticultural Development Program, Resource Mobilization Manager at Africa International University, and a Product Executive at Nestle Foods, to name a few. Kiragu is a Business Administration graduate and a certified marketer from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
