Abigail Dean

Program Associate, Egypt

Abigail Dean holds multiple roles with the Middle East and North Africa team at CIPE, including Program Associate for the Egypt portfolio, MENA team coordinator, and administrative support for the MENA regional director. She has earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Seattle University, with minors in philosophy and Arabic. Prior to joining CIPE, Abigail interned with the International Rescue Committee, the Seattle World Affairs Council, and the Environmental Investigation Agency. She aided the Seattle Afghan Resource Center in developing state-wide resource guides for refugee resettlement following the situation in Afghanistan in 2021. Abigail also worked as a research assistant at Seattle University’s Albers School of Economics where she studied global income inequality, gender economics, and the history of American wealth inequality.
