Roadmaps for Transparent Public Procurement in the Andean Region

Surveys

Survey to Identify Corruption Gaps and Improvements in the Transparency of Procurement Processes in the Andean Region

Between 2021 and 2022, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and Ipsos Napoleón Franco conducted 750 surveys in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, totaling 2,250 surveys on the public perception of corruption. This data encompasses small, medium, and large businesses, as well as male and female entrepreneurs across the manufacturing, services, and trade sectors that have participated in a bidding process within the last 5 years. Following the surveys, CIPE developed roadmaps to promote transparency in public procurement. Currently, the recommendations from the roadmaps are being implemented in all three countries, including training in business ethics and public procurement.
