Women’s Economic Empowerment and Women in Corporate Leadership

The Center for Women’s Economic Empowerment (CWEE) at CIPE advances gender equality in emerging markets to build more inclusive, thriving economies and democracies that deliver for all citizens. This brief outlines how CIPE approaches the intersection of women’s economic empowerment (WEE) and women in corporate leadership positions, such as boards of directors, and programs that are making a difference, as well as areas for future research, possible project focuses, and policy exploration.
