Regional AEO to Simplify Trade in Latin America and the Caribbean

Announcement from the Global Alliance Trade Facilitation, which is led by the Center for International Private Enterprise, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the World Economic Forum, in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)

In a major reform effort to relieve the growing pressure from increased trade flows on cross-border management, eleven Latin American and Caribbean countries have signed an ambitious regional arrangement that is expected to significantly reduce the cost of international trade for companies with Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification.
