In October 2023, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) launched the second phase of the “Engaging Workers and Civil Society to Strengthen Labor Law Enforcement” project. It aims to build the capacities of workers and employers in Georgia to understand the applicability of relevant labor laws in their specific working circumstances, to recognize violations of labor legislation, and to understand the mechanisms available when such violations transpire.

Key Activities include:

  • Awareness-raising events and resources on labor law compliance for employers and occupational health and safety for employees in high-risk fields
  • Trainings for businesses and labor unions on Occupational Health and Safety, Labor Rights Compliance, Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms, and Workplace Social Dialogue
  • Facilitation of social dialogue between government bodies, employers, and unions
  • Meetings with the Labor Inspectorate and court officials
