For the lighter side of politics…After re-reading a Ronald Reagan speech, the one that laid the foundation for establishing the National Endowment for Democracy, I could not pass on the opportunity to bring up this one:
It is that the Soviet Union would remain a one-party nation even if an opposition party were permitted, because everyone would join the opposition party.
