U.S. – Bahrain Free Trade Agreement User’s Guide

This User’s Guide is designed to provide information about the U.S.-Bahrain FTA in an accessible format and to highlight the advantages it provides for American and Bahraini companies. The FTA is an agreement between Bahrain and the U.S. on certain obligations that affect trade in goods and services and provides protections for investors and intellectual property rights, among other topics. The FTA helps American and Bahraini companies to enter and compete more easily in each other’s marketplace through zero or reduced tariffs and other provisions. The FTA reduces trade barriers and creates a more predictable and transparent trading and investment environment. A cornerstone of the bilateral commercial relationship, this is one of only 20 FTAs that the U.S. has with other countries and 22 FTAs that Bahrain has with other countries.
