The Taxation Guidebook for Micro and Small Enterprises in Addis Ababa provides an overview of the current tax legislation for Ethiopian micro and small businesses.

The guidebook provides an overview of the tax legislation issued by the Ethiopian government and includes useful information regarding tax registration, taxpayer categories and rights, the timeline of tax declaration and payment, how to object to a tax decision, and administrative penalties. The guidebook aims to enhance tax awareness amongst MSEs in Ethiopia and improve their ability to meet tax obligations.

The guidebook was developed by the Center for International Private Enterprise as part of the Livelihoods Improvement for Women and Youth Program (LI-WAY). LI-WAY is implemented by a consortium of partners led by Stichting SNV Netherlands Development Organization and comprising Mercy Corps, TechnoServe, and Save the Children, with financial support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The text of the guidebook was prepared by Girma Gebretsadik, an independent consultant based in Addis Ababa.
