CIPE’s Europe & Eurasia team and partner ICC Albania hosted our panel event part of Integrity Week Albania, an annual initiative to bring stakeholders in Albania together to discuss ethical behavior and integrity.

During the event, “Behavioral Change Approaches to Reducing Economic Informality in Albania,” speakers discussed how specific behavioral change approaches to reducing economic informality in other regional and global cases can be implemented in Albania.

CIPE’s Dr. Brunilda Kosta presented her latest research providing a comprehensive overview of the root causes and ongoing challenges for business formalization in Albania. Additionally, Dr. Colin Williams of Sheffield University and CIPE’s Director of Policy and Program Learning Kim Betcher joined a discussion of behavioral change approaches to reducing economic informality, sharing regional and global best practices, and commenting on their application in Albania.
