CIPE partner the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI), the oldest and largest representative organization of entrepreneurs in Estonia, organized an ideation workshop “How to Increase the Share of Women in the ICT Field.” This workshop is part of a joint Businesswomen and Technology subgrant managed and funded by CIPE’s Europe and Eurasia department, Global Department and Center for Women’s Economic Empowerment. ECCI’s project focuses on increasing women’s participation in the technology sector to enhance the sustainability of women-led businesses, decrease the pay gap, and encourage young women to take up roles in the ICT sector. Increased leadership of women in ICT will support the country’s digital transformation and create a more democratic society. The workshop served as an initial kick-off event gathering stakeholders from the private, public, and non-governmental sectors. Participants learned more about the project and exchanged information about progress, projects, and initiatives on women-led digital transformation in the country. Watch the video to see how it went!
