The Policy & Program Learning team is excited to announce our new webinar series, Research Unbound.
In 2021, CIPE launched a new applied research initiative to engage business leaders in emerging democracies with actionable knowledge on policy solutions for democratic free-market systems. The PPL team commissioned issue papers, selecting seven proposals that addressed some of the most important policy and business issues in emerging markets.
The webinar series will showcase research that looks at the evolving government-business relationship, policy reform, entrepreneurship and innovation during the pandemic, as well as the mounting threats to democratic institutions.
Key findings highlight a deepening awareness among business and civic organizations about government overreach in curtailment of essential freedoms, and an uneven response to the needs of the private sector during the COVID crisis. At the same time, the research shows that a new wave of business creativity is underway, as firms, big and small, reimagine the marketplace in a post-COVID world, beset by global supply chain disruptions and a public health crisis.
