Shenae Burgess is the Chief Financial Officer at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) and directs and oversees all of the organization’s accounting and financial operations. Shenae joins CIPE with twenty years of extensive industry experience and proven success in overseeing global financial operations for multi-million-dollar non-profit and for-profit organizations. She has developed robust financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to support long-term business growth and is adept in administering large-scale operational budgets. Her strong background in auditing translates into a keen ability to strategically re-engineer and streamline organizational infrastructures, in addition to developing and implementing internal controls, processes, systems, and tools to streamline efficiency and performance.
Prior to joining CIPE, Shenae served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Jane Goodall Institute. In addition to having seven years of experience as an auditor, Shenae’s professional experience includes senior level financial roles held at organizations including EngenderHealth, Cruise Line International, University Research Co., and Casals & Associates.
Shenae is a Certified Public Accountant, holding a BS in Accounting from George Mason University and an MBA in Accounting from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
