Monika Kočiová

Based in Bratislava, Monika Kočiová serves as a Program Officer on CIPE’s Europe team. Monika leads CIPE’s portfolio of programs across Central and Eastern Europe focused on strengthening the capacity of the private sector to advocate for constructive policy reform, advancing the role of women business leaders in democratic reform, and strengthening overall the business and governance environment in the region.

Monika joined CIPE from the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry where she served as the director of Kosice Regional Chamber. Her focus was in the development of regional and global trade relations and in the development of cross-sectoral cooperation and innovation ecosystems within the region. Monika holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from National Chengchi University in Taiwan. She also pursued her studies in Mexico, Czechia, and Portugal. Outside of work she enjoys art and traveling and dedicates her time to Rotary, where she has been appointed as the Chair of International Aid Committee for Czech and Slovak republic with regard to the situation in Ukraine. She speaks Slovak, English, and Spanish.
