Moheb Jabarkhail works as Grants and Contracts Manager for the CIPE-led Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation (GATF) funded portfolio of projects. The Alliance projects promote trade-led growth by supporting governments in developing and least-developed countries in implementing the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement. The projects help to cut through red tape and end costly delays at borders by bringing together government and businesses as equal partners to deliver targeted trade reforms. By emphasizing digitalization and delivering other best practices, the projects enable businesses to trade more easily and governments to save time and resources by modernizing trade procedures while still safeguarding their borders. Ultimately, the GATF projects boost trade competitiveness and business conditions, which are key drivers of inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction.
In the past Moheb has worked with development organizations in Afghanistan where he managed the World Bank-funded portfolio of national development projects at the Afghanistan Ministry of Finance and served as senior advisor on policy and donor relations at the Ministry of Agriculture.
