Lobna Afify is a Program Officer at the Center for International and Private Enterprise’s Egypt office. Afify manages a portfolio of programs that support private sector development, as well as business associations engaging in policy reform through institutional capacity building and civic education programs that empower and engage young entrepreneurs. Her work currently focuses on guiding young entrepreneurs and engaging them in a constructive dialogue with policymakers by bringing together primary and secondary stakeholders to agree on policy priorities. During her time with CIPE, she led an initiative to develop an application called “Tamweely,” CIPE’s Arabic mobile app that facilitates linking entrepreneurs to financial institutions in Egypt. Afify obtained her MBA from Georgia State University through a joint program with Alexandria University.
