Giorgi Chapidze

Giorgi Chapidze is a Research Specialist based in Georgia who joined the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) team in 2022. He works under the USAID Economic Governance Program and is responsible for coordinating and monitoring grant activities, supervising the development of research, analytical, and policy documents by Program beneficiary CSOs and PSAs. Giorgi has expertise in economic transformation, sectoral reform, Georgia’s approximation with the EU, and develops research and analytical documents in these areas. He has experience working in public and private sectors with ministries, state agencies, diplomatic missions, CSOs, chambers of commerce, think tanks and sectoral associations.

Prior to joining CIPE, Giorgi worked as a Trade Policy Officer at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, providing policy inputs to DG Trade, monitoring progress, supporting AA/DCFTA implementation, and maintaining contacts with Georgian public authorities. He also worked as a Chief Specialist at the Foreign Trade Policy Department at the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.

Giorgi holds an Executive Master’s Degree with a focus on EU Public Affairs and Policies from the College of Europe (Warsaw, Poland) and a BA in International Relations from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
