Ella Askerova-Foggo is a Program Officer at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE). She manages the Central Asia portfolio and develops programs on improving the business environment, corporate governance, business ethics, and strengthening the private sector’s role in the economy.
Askerova-Foggo started her career in the corporate sector working for Chase Bank in New York City and then joined Deloitte management consulting in Astana, Kazakhstan. She then pivoted her career toward foreign affairs by joining the Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan. In addition, she worked as a consultant at the World Bank in Washington, DC advising Central Asian governments on digital technology policy.
Askerova-Foggo received her Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy degree in 2019 from The Fletcher School, Tufts University. Her focus of study was Business for Social Impact and Geopolitics of Eurasia. She received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington.
Her goal is to see Central Asia having access to global markets and connected to international investors. She has native fluency in Kazakh and Russian.
