The MENA Corrosive Capital project convenes local researchers in the MENA region, including economists, transparency activists, and investigative journalists, to counter malign influence from authoritarian countries by increasing knowledge about capital flows from such countries and identifying governance gaps that are exploited to exert influence. The partner organizations have identified specific reforms to ensure that foreign investment and aid contribute to democratic development in their countries. This project is a part of CIPE’s corrosive capital initiative, which seeks to promote accountability, transparency, and market orientation for resilient economies that benefit everyone. More information on the initiative is available at: https://corrosiveconstructivecapital.cipe.org/
The MENA corrosive capital team at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) seeks a consultant to work closely with CIPE staff to develop a report, setting partner organizations’ research in the context of related research into soft power and economic and political influence in the regions.
