CIPE supported a series of gender analyses to review the economic barriers contributing to the global gender gap and how women’s business associations and chambers of commerce can work to eliminate them. Regional gender analyses of Eastern Europe and Central Asia and national gender analyses of Nigeria and Senegal note the need for increased childcare, more equitable access to finance, and safer workplaces and public spaces. Using these gender analyses and the experiences of their members, CIPE’s partner organizations can advocate for a better enabling environment for women in business.
The initiative also features a Dividers and Connectors Analysis to address factors that facilitate or impede project implementation. Addressing these will support partner organizations in overcoming barriers to women’s economic empowerment.
