Pakistan/Afghanistan – The Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) held its second board meeting in Karachi. Participants discussed a range of key issues, including launching a membership drive and setting advocacy priorities. In addition, members of the PAJCCI board attended the “My Karachi” trade exposition, where representatives of firms engaged in cross-border trade were able to discuss business opportunities. The board members also took part in a dinner meeting with the Secretary of the Pakistani Commerce Ministry to discuss implementation of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement. CIPE program staff conducted a number of training sessions for members of the board and the PAJCCI staff on topics such as membership development and internal communications.
