Africa

In sub-Saharan Africa, CIPE partners with local business associations, think tanks, and other private sector organizations to strengthen the voice of local business in advocating for democratic and economic reforms. For more than 20 years, CIPE’s efforts in the region are contributing to the process of democratic decision-making that builds a strong sense of ownership in policymaking and the rule of law. CIPE partners throughout Africa are driving the reform process and advancing democracy by strengthening the micro and small enterprise sector, tackling corruption, building the capacity of business membership associations, and leveraging the capacity of the private sector as a voice for democracy.
