CIPE currently is implementing a two-year regional project on corporate governance, funded by USAID/Washington, in Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Under this program, CIPE will assist the Russian Institute of Directors (RID) in the development of advanced curriculum and training materials on corporate governance for the directors of large private companies and based on the new Russian Corporate Governance Code. Using both these advanced materials and the curriculum developed by ISMM for RID, CIPE and the RID will implement training programs in four key regions of Russia (to be determined based on a survey to be conducted at the beginning of the project).

The Russian Institute of Directors' website (www.rid.ru) focuses on putting in place efficient corporate governance principles in Russian companies, and includes the recently drafted Code of Corporate Conduct. Key partners of the Institute include the Federal Commission for the Securities Market in Russia, the OECD and the Institute for Stock Market Management, a long-time CIPE partner governance reform.
