Global Editorial Cartoon Competition Winners Announced

Three Winners Chosen by Voters from 642 Entries, 83 Countries

A picture is worth more than a thousand words – cartoons can speak across languages and across cultures. The Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2012 Global Editorial Cartoon Competition. Artists from Iran, Spain, and Indonesia won in the Democratic Governance, Entrepreneurship, and Youth Empowerment categories.

CAIRO, EGYPT – In its continuing effort to build an institutional framework to promote integrity and combat corruption in Egypt, the Egypt office of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), working in partnership with the Federation of Economic Development Associations and the United Group, organized a conference on “Combating Corruption between the State and the Society” on February 27, 2013. The event was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Washington, DC -- Ten young writers from around the world have been selected as winners in the Center for International Private Enterprise’s (CIPE) fifth annual International Youth Essay Competition. The winning essays were selected from more than 300 entries in three categories relating to youth and entrepreneurship.
