The results are in! The Democracy Video Challenge, a worldwide online competition, asked young video makers to complete the phrase, “Democracy is…” through three-minute videos. More than 900 people from 95 countries submitted their entries. A jury co-chaired by Hernando de Soto (Institute for Liberty and Democracy) and Michael Apted (Directors Guild of America) selected the 18 finalists. Then the six winners – one from each region of the world – were chosen by through an online vote. Their videos are truly innovative and inspiring so make sure to take a look.
